Hosting an on-demand webinar using Univid is easy.
1. Record it
You can either (A) record your webinar using Univid, or (B) upload your own recorded video.
(A) Record your webinar using Univid
Simply record your webinar, by going live using the Univid studio (with or without a live audience). After you are done with the recording pressing end webinar > activating the on-demand mode.
(B) Upload your recording
If you want to upload your recording, or make more adjustments beyond using the Univid trimmer for start and end time - navigate to the on-demand mode and press upload.
2. Decide how your attendees should watch it
On-demand is definitely a good way to make sure you get as much value out of your existing webinar content as possible.
50% attendance rate for the live part is quite in line with what data shows, and the same data shows around 41% watches the replay if you activate it shortly after (see more in Webinar Insights Report).
Thus, using the built in on-demand mode in Univid is highly recommended right after the webinar, followed by either of the three options as lead magnet. With Univid you can either:
Activate Univid Replay - make the webinar recording visible in Univid directly (same link, no hassle, full deep analytics).
Embed a video from Univid on your own website.
Download the recording and upload it elsewhere like Youtube, or Vimeo.
A. Univid Replay: On-demand video in Univid directly
The key is to make it easy for no-shows to easily watch the webinar right after you are finished (and attendees to re-watch).
Typically, you would activate it right after your webinar using the built in on-demand mode in Univid.
You can of course preview the recording directly in Univid as well, and then publish when you are ready.
Get existing attendees and no-shows to watch the replay
If you use the built in follow-up emails in Univid or dynamic personal links via integration, you will also get the same nice analytics as the live webinar - with everything collected in one place. Allowing people to easily access the webinar replay with one click.
And understanding who watch your recording, how long they watch for, etc.
Get new leads to watch your on-demand content
You can also register attendees in the same way for the on-demand webinar, as the live webinar. Using either a built in landing page in Univid like below, or via an integration like HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, etc.
Get notified when people watch on-demand
You can also set up notifications when someone watches on-demand, for example using the Zapier integration to send a notification to your Slack.
Also, if you want to embed the video on your own site directly from Univid as more long-term lead magnet (without hosting it yourself) - check out the steps below.
B. Embed video with a HTML tag on your own site
You can embed the on-demand video from your Univid webinar directly on your own domain or website.
It's hosted for you in top quality with Univid (full 1080P HD) - and no downloads or uploads required.
This is a perfect option to for example:
use our webinars as video lead magnets
build out a video content bank for your help center
To embed a webinar:
Navigate to the on-demand hub of the webinar
Choose the video that's going to be embedded
Press embed
Click the eye to make the video embeddable
Copy the embed code and paste it into your website
Hint: Make sure the video is published on-demand in the webinar, otherwise it won't show up in the embed.
Autoplay
The webinar video will be embedded with the flag "autoplay=false" set by default - showing a play button and your splash image (see below). You can remove it from the embed code if you want it to auto play for the visitors.
C. Download the video
To download the video recording as .mp4, simply press "download". You can download the recorded webinar as .mp4 file in full 1080p HD quality.
3. Add subtitles to your webinar (optional)
To make your webinars accessible you can also now add subtitles to your webinar.
Navigate to the on-demand hub, choose the video you would like, and upload an .SRT or .VTT file with your subtitles.
Note: simulated live webinars also support live subtitles. Just upload them before with your recording.
4. Make your on-demand webinar part of a Space (optional)
You can also add your on-demand webinar to one or multiple Webinar Spaces together with other upcoming, or previous webinars - to neatly group webinars together and give attendees a easy way to overview your content.
