We are now done with hosting the live part of our webinar.
Let's take a look at how we activate the on-demand mode, access the recording, and follow-up with attendees (and no-shows).
1. How to record the webinar in Univid
Recording a webinar in Univid is super simple - because it's automatically done for you.
You only have to go live and the webinar will automatically be recorded. Thus, you don't have to worry about forgetting to record.
Simply enter the webinar studio - press "go live" and the webinar will be both 1. live streamed to the audience, and 2. recorded.
2. How to access the recording
Accessing the recording might be a bit tricky. You need to end the webinar first, by pressing "end webinar". This is for your safety, so you don't accidentally put the webinar in on-demand mode, when you still want to go live in the same session.
A. Activate on-demand mode on the same link
The webinar recording will then be available to (A) publish the recording on the same link, (B) download as .mp4 file in 1080p HD, or (C) embed with a HTML tag on your own site (hosted by Univid).
You can of course preview the recording directly in Univid as well๐
Also, if you want to embed the video on your own site directly from Univid (without hosting it yourself) - contact us and we will help you set it up.
B. Download the video
To download the video recording as .mp4, simply press "download".
C. Embed video with a HTML tag on your own site
To embed, write in the support chat to get your HTML tag - and you can embed the video directly on your own domain or website. For more details see the on-demand guide here.
It's hosted for you in top quality with Univid - and no downloads or uploads required.
This is a perfect option to for example:
use our webinars as video lead magnets
build out a video content bank for your help center
3. Send recording in the follow-up email
Email is the most common method for following up with attendees and no-shows after the webinar.
With Univid, you have two base templates for follow-up emails, based on whether the registrant (A) attended the webinar or (B) did not attend.
You can trigger both of these emails after your webinar is done and ended. Press the button "Follow-up email" to configure the emails.
Add a custom message in the follow-ups
You are able to add a custom text message from you as a host. It supports clickable links too, if you want to add a resource or next step.
Track on-demand attendance
If you published the recording in Univid, you will automatically get the "watch recording" button included in the follow-up emails. This also goes if you use the personal link via the webinar integrations.
This button includes the personal link - so attendees watching through this link, will be tracked as "on-demand" attendees with all the engagement insights in your statistics.
Tip: Was there any interesting questions or poll results in the live webinar? Share it as additional value in the follow-up email.
