As Univid is browser-based you don't have to download any application on your device to go live or attend a Univid webinar.

Below are a few recommendations to make Univid run as smooth as possible.

Technical requirements for speakers and hosts

For the best hosting experience, we recommend to run Univid from a desktop device as a host.

As speakers and hosts join the Univid webinar studio with webcam and audio, we also recommend using a modern browser.

If experiencing any issues with joining the Univid webinar studio, please check out our help center.

βœ… A modern browser

For the best experience with Univid, we recommend using use the latest version of Google Chrome. As it's currently offering the most advanced features for video.

Other browsers that are supported: Mozilla Firefox, Safari*, and Microsoft Edge.

*Safari: Note - some functionality like sharing a video file or PDF might be disabled.

You can download Google Chrome here.

βœ… Webcam and microphone

If you plan on joining the Univid webinar studio with video or audio - you need a functional webcam and/or microphone.

Univid works either with your built-in webcam and mic, or with external mic:s and cameras. If you can join a meeting in the browser, you should be able to join the Univid webinar studio.

βœ… Audio

You naturally need headphones or speakers to hear what the other people are saying in the studio.

We recommend using headphones, since it seldom interfere with microphones and cut down background noise from people nearby.

Technical requirements - attendees

Attendees only need their browser (and be able to play audio) to join the webinar in Univid. And can join either from their mobile and desktop devices, as Univid adapts the user interface dynamically.

Firewall Settings

As an attendee:

If you cannot access the webinar or livestream, there might be a Firewall or VPN turned on blocking you from accessing the webinar.

To fix this, either:

(A) Try joining from a different network like a 4G mobile network, or turn off your VPN if you have one active.

(B) Ask your IT to whitelist the following domains:

  • *univid.io

  • *unividpoint.com

(C) If the issue persists, send an email to [email protected] and we will assist you.

Email delivery

We recommend that your email provider or email management system authorizes the domain names below, to ensure the delivery of emails being sent by Univid:

  • univid.io

Remember: You can always send your own emails through using our webinar integrations. These can include both the Univid personal links and calendar links.
