Running a Q&A is one of the easiest (and most popular) way to make a webinar interactive.

The Q&A functionality allows you to answer questions in a structured way, where you can either answer in text or in the live video.

The questions in the Q&A are initially only visible to you as the host. You can then decide if you want to make them public, or answer them individually.

Note on visibility: Even if you decide to make a Q&A question visible for everyone (by pressing the eye icon) - only you as host will be able to see the name of the person asking it, making the Q&A great for webinars where anomity between attendees is important.

How to run a webinar Q&A

You can either run the Q&A:

(A) end of webinar: set a timeslot at the end of the webinar (5-10 mins)

(B) during the webinar: continuously pick up and ask relevant questions

The Q&A is a very flexible way of hosting a webinar, as you make the attendees do a lot of work - by asking relevant questions that makes the content interesting.

Q&A engagement tip 1

Have a slide indicating that the Q&A session is started. This makes it feel professional and structured.

Q&A engagement tip 2

Furthermore, do not hesitate to prepare 1 or a few of your own questions to kickstart the Q&A, or to bring up if there are any moments of silence.

Like poll answers, Q&A messages are by default only visible to hosts. Press the eye icon to reveal the Q&A message to the audience.

If you like to keep things more open and transparent - check out the chat, and activate it along side the Q&A or instead.
